At Robin Hood we aim to engage, motivate and inspire children to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians.
Our music curriculum aims to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum which follows a clear progression of skills. We will endeavour to ensure children understand the value and importance of music in the wider community and are able to use their musical skills, knowledge and experiences to involve themselves in music in a variety of contexts.
Pupils will build on prior knowledge through a spiral curriculum. Learning builds upon four key elements of singing, listening, composing and performing. All children will engage in an ambitious curriculum using the researched principles of the Charanga Scheme.
