At Robin Hood, we offer an ambitious, rich, vibrant and engaging curriculum which inspires individuals to learn well and thrive. It mirrors the breadth and ambition of the requirements of the National Curriculum.
Through our curriculum, each unit of learning is Geography or History driven but always covers the broad range of discrete subject disciplines and builds progressively complex substantive and disciplinary knowledge to ensure children are secondary ready by the end of Year 6.
Our aim is to enrich every child's school experience by creating an environment based on the Robin Hood 3Rs: Ready, Resilient and Responsible. All children are encouraged to succeed and be the best they can be, they take pride in developing their knowledge and skills, talents and a love of learning.
Special memorable events instantly hook learners, creating curiosity amongst learners. Our ‘big questions’ support an ‘enquiry-led approach, through which children develop and strengthen their skills and knowledge – the foundations to lifelong learning.
We regularly review our curriculum to ensure it continues to provide a rich and relevant experience. All stakeholders help to shape curriculum development by sharing their opinions through questionnaires and discussions.
