Our Geography curriculum explores understanding about the world in which we live.
Through our geography curriculum, our children will be curious about the world around them. They will ask questions and question why decisions were made. They will appreciate the world on both a local and a global scale as they explore human and physical geography. Our children will have an awareness of the world and an understanding of different cultures across the world.
The curriculum is a progressive model that inspires children’s curiosity and ensures that children are nurtured as it provokes and provides answers to questions about the natural, physical and human aspects of the world. The geography curriculum enables children to develop knowledge and skills that are transferable to other curriculum areas as well as developing children’s skills of interpreting a range of geographical information including maps, diagrams, photographs, sources and data.
